Features[]

Android 14's previews focused on adding new features to the base of Android 13, including new customization, improved privacy and improved security.

Ultra HDR has added support for HDR video, HDR image support was also introduced, but after Android 14's release, it offered more realistic stills thanks to a greater range of brightness, colors, and contrast. This was known as the “Ultra HDR” format, which is backward compatible with JPEG

Unique, truly customized wallpapers powered by artificial intelligence were introduced in this version. You can generate a different wallpaper each time by changing the prompts in the text boxes.

New lockscreen fonts have also been introduced in this version and a whole new customization picker makes personalizing the lock screen and the homescreen even more easier and feature rich.

Data sharing details have been introduced in this version. Android 14 proactively gives you easy-to-understand info about apps' data permissions. Choose what access you grant to apps to keep you safe.

Monochrome theming has been added to this version. You can apply dynamic, monochromatic themes to your widgets, icons, buttons, backgrounds and animations to create a less distracting, more sleek and grayscale aesthetic.
